Dr. David Altchek to Perform Shoulder Surgery on New York Met Johan Santana

David Altchek, MD, medical director of the New York Mets, is scheduled to perform shoulder surgery on the team’s pitcher Johan Santana, according to a Fox News report.

On Tuesday, Dr. Altchek will perform the surgery in order to repair the pitcher’s re-torn anterior capsule.
