Missouri Senate Passes Legislation Requiring Telemedicine Coverage

The Missouri Senate has approved legislation that requires insurance companies to cover medical services provided electronically if they cover the same service provided in person, according to a KRCG 13 report.

Under the legislation, people receiving treatment through telemedicine will not have to pay higher co-pays or deductibles than if they received treatment from their physician in person.

The bill has now been sent to the Missouri House, according to the report.
