The EOS systems provides full-body images while patients are in a natural standing or sitting position. It features 3D images and a low dose of radiation, according to the release. Patients with spinal deformities typically undergo more than 20 scans over the course of treatment, and typical X-ray radiation levels can be hazardous.
The system can capture the natural posture and joint orientation of patients, including those in wheelchairs or other supportive devices.
