Dr. Akin Cil Becomes Endowed Professor in Orthopedic Research at UMKC

Associate Professor of Orthopedic Surgery Akin Cil, MD, has been selected for the Franklin D. Dickson/Missouri Professorship in Orthopedic Research at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, according to a University News report.

The UMKC School of Medicine and School of Computing and Engineering host the endowed professorship, focused on elbow orthopedics. Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering Trent M. Guess, PhD, will join Dr. Cil in a collaborative study of the relationships of the upper extremity musculoskeletal system, according to the report.
