Howard An, MD, is a board certified orthopedic spine surgeon of Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.
Dr. An is a tenured professor and the Morton International endowed chair for spine research in the department of orthopedic surgery at Rush Medical College in Chicago. He is also director of the Rush Spine Center and director of spine fellowships.
Dr. An focuses on pediatric scoliosis surgery, cervical spine, spinal stenosis, herniated disc, minimally invasive spine surgery as well as reconstructive surgery for patients with spinal tumors and trauma.
He earned his medical degree, along with his internship and orthopedic residency, at the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo. He completed his spine fellowship at Philadelphia-based Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and Pennsylvania Hospital's Rothman Institute.
