Metalmark Capital, a private equity firm, has completed a majority investment in Collagen Matrix.
Metalmark's investment in Collagen Matrix will provide the resources, expertise and capital needed to continue to grow the business. As part of the transaction, the company's management team, including founder, Shu-Tung Li, PhD, will remain with the company. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Collagen Matrix focuses on the design and engineering of collagen-and mineral-based extracellular matrices for tissue and organ repair and regeneration. Its products include OssiMend Bone Graft Matrix and DuraMatrix-Onlay Conformable Collagen Dura Substitute Membrane.
