Nikhil Verma, MD, a sports medicine specialist at Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush, was recently elected as a member of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons, according to an MOR news release.
Dr. Verma has a professional interest in treating shoulder and elbow disorders in overhand throwing athletes. His research interests include cartilage transplantation and regeneration as well as rotator cuff healing. He is a team physician for the Chicago Bears and Chicago Bulls.
Dr. Verma earned his medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia and completed his residency at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago. He also completed a shoulder and sports medicine fellowship at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City.
