Fotios P. Tjoumakaris, MD, an orthopedic sports medicine physician, has joined Rothman Institute in Philadelphia, according to a practice news release.
Dr. Tjoumakaris previously served as an assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He has a professional interest in fractures, ruptures, tendon repairs and arthroscopy. He is also a member of several professional organizations, including the Arthroscopy Association of North America and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. Tjoumakaris earned his medical degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and completed his residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. His additional training includes a fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
