After a more than 30 year career as team physician for the University of Wisconsin Athletic Department, Greg Landry, MD, is urging parents to take a proactive role in concussion prevention, the Post-Crescentt reports.

1. Dr. Landry said adolescents are prone to concussions at a higher rate than their matured counterparts. Adolescent females are at a higher risk than males.
2. Dr. Landry has been a frequent presenter on concussion risks throughout his career.
3. Dr. Landry is advocating for change in football, urging for a strict enforcement of head-to-head tackling rules.
4. He then lauded the NFL and its Heads Up Football program as a step in the right direction.
