Wilkes-Barre, Pa.-based Geisinger Orthopaedic Institute's sports medicine division will host a speed and agility academy for high school athletes on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from June 13 to July 21, according to The Daily Item.
Here are three notes:
1. Athletes who have completed grades 9 to 12 can enhance their speed, agility, mobility and strength.
2. Geisinger's athletic trainers will staff the academy.
3. Michael Suk, MD, chairman of the orthopedic surgery department at Geisinger Health System, leads the team at Geisinger Orthopaedic Institute.
