Daniel Tang, MD, re-examined jockey Julian Pimentel's broken foot, according to Horseracing Nation.
Here are three quick notes:
1. Mr. Pimentel cracked his foot in two places after a horse stepped on it.
2. Dr. Tang said Mr. Pimentel's injury is about 90 percent healed and will probably take another two weeks to reach 100 percent. He also allowed Mr. Pimentel to remove the protective boot he wore on his foot.
3. Dr. Tang earned his medical degree from and completed his residency at Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C. He currently practices with Potomac Valley Orthopedic Associates with locations in Montgomery County, Md., and Howard County, Md.
