Chris Yeung, MD, will perform spine surgery on Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Brett Anderson, according to a Los Angeles Times report.

Here are five notes:

 

1. Dr. Yeung will perform arthroscopic surgery to repair a bulging disc in Mr. Anderson's lower back.

 

2. Mr. Anderson will take three to five months to recover fully.

 

3. Dr. Yeung is a spine surgeon practicing at Desert Institute for Spine Care in Phoenix.

 

4. He is the team spine surgeon for the Arizona Diamondbacks, Los Angeles Dodgers, Cincinnati Reds and Arizona Rattlers.

 

5. He has completed a spine surgery fellowship at the USC Spine Center at Keck Medicine of USC in Los Angeles.
