Aurora Health Care to invest $40M in Marquette University's new athletic research center: 4 things to know

Milwaukee, Wis.-based Aurora Health Care is investing $40 million in Marquette University's Athletic Performance Research Center, according to a Milwaukee Business Journal report.

Here are four things to know:

 

1. Marquette University is establishing the Athletic Performance Research Center in partnership with the Milwaukee Bucks.

 

2. In total, the research center will cost $120 million.

 

3. The center aims to further research in emerging fields, such as exercise physiology, athletic training, biomedical engineering and nutrition.

 

4. The groundbreaking for the new center is slated for 2017.
