James Andrews, MD, founder of the Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine in Gulf Breeze, Fla., competed in the CME Tour Championship pro-am on Tuesday, according to Naples News Daily.

1. The event took place at the Tiburon Golf Club at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Naples, Fla.
2. Dr. Andrews has been the medical director for the LPGA since 1991.
3. Presently, he is the medical director and orthopedic surgeon for Auburn University Intercollegiate Athletics as, well as the senior orthopedic consultant at the University of Alabama.
4. He's best known as one of the founding members of the Andrews Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center in Birmingham, Ala.
5. He has been involved with Arthrex, an orthopedic medical device company, for several years.
