Michael Terry, MD, performed knee surgery on Chicago Blackhawks' defenseman Duncan Keith, according to a Chicago Tribune report.

Here are five notes:

 

1. Dr. Terry repaired a meniscal tear in Mr. Keith's right knee.

 

2. Mr. Keith will miss four to six weeks postoperatively.

 

3. Dr. Terry is head team physician of the Chicago Blackhawks and team physician of USA Volleyball.

 

4. Dr. Terry is an associate professor in orthopedic surgery at Northwestern Medicine in Chicago.

 

5. He completed a fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine at Vail, Colo.-based Steadman-Hawkins Clinic.
