ABOS certifies Dr. Adam V. Metzler — 5 quick facts

Sports medicine specialist, Adam V. Metzler, MD, was certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, according to Northern Kentucky Tribune.

Here are five quick facts on Dr. Metzler.

 

1. Dr. Metzler's areas of interest include knee ligament reconstruction, meniscus repair, cartilage restoration surgery and total knee replacement among several others.

 

2. Dr. Metzler earned his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in Ohio, and received the Robert E. Ott Award as Valedictorian of his class.

 

3. He also completed his orthopedic surgery at UC and earned several awards including the Peter J. Stern, MD Chief Resident Leadership Award, the Chief Resident of the Year Peer Award and the Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery Chief Resident of the Year.

 

4. He is the team physician for Holy Cross High School and St. Henry High School, both located in Covington, Ky.

 

5. Dr. Metzler previously served as the team physician for the University of Kentucky's athletic teams.
