5 things to know about Dr. Alan Nasar's presentation on treating sports injuries

Alan Nasar, MD, of Advanced Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, presented on treating sports injuries.

Here are five notes:

 

1. Dr. Nasar gave an exclusive lecture to members of the Deal (N.J.) Sephardic Network on treating athletic injuries at the community center.

 

2. Dr. Nasar discussed topics relevant to the group, whose primary goal is to provide health and fitness opportunities to the community.

 

3. The presentation focused on treating injuries including ankle sprains, tennis elbow and stress fractures among others.

 

4. The lecture also includes ways to prevent injuries, diagnostic tips and treatment methods.

 

5. Dr. Nasar is the director of the Total Joint Center of New Jersey of CentraState. He additionally serves as the chairman of orthopedic surgery at CentraState and is the director of orthopedics at The Manor Health and Rehabilitation Center in Freehold, N.J.
