Orthopedic Sports Medicine

Boxing promoter Bob Arum criticized Manny Pacquiao earlier this week after the boxing star missed an appointment with Neal ElAttrache, MD. Mr. Pacquiao said he was carrying out his own rehabilitation, according to Sports360.

Here are four things to know, according to the report:

1. Mr. Pacquiao said in a statement that he is "recovering faster than expected," and that he can raise his right arm.

2. Mr. Pacquiao underwent surgery on May 7 to repair a torn rotator cuff.

3. Mr. Pacquiao did not say if he was receiving medical advice or treatment from another physician.

4. Mr. Arum felt as though Mr. Pacquiao's priority should have been with Dr. ElAttrache, but a few days after this missed appointment, the boxer flew to Indonesia.
