Martin O'Malley, MD, performed ankle surgery on Atlanta Hawks' Kyle Korver, according to a NBA report.
Here are four things to know:
1. Dr. O'Malley is an associate attending orthopedic surgeon and fellowship director of the foot and ankle service at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York.
2. Mr. Korver is the Atlanta Hawks' guard/forward. He underwent the procedure to repair ligament damage in his right ankle.
3. Dr. O'Malley has authored more than 75 articles and book chapters on disorders of the foot and ankle.
4. Dr. O'Malley has also completed a foot and ankle surgery fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery.
