Southeastern Sports Medicine switches affiliation and partners with Pardee Hospital

Orthopedic Sports Medicine

Asheville, N.C.-based Southeastern Sports Medicine has switched its affiliation from Park Ridge Health to Pardee Hospital, both based in Hendersonville, N.C., according to a Hendersonville Lightning report.

Under the new affiliation, the practice will add an office at the Mission Pardee Health Campus in Arden, N.C., and consolidate its two existing Hendersonville offices. The practice includes seven orthopedic surgeons and a physiatrist. It also provides sports medicine services for a number of schools in the area.

Pardee CEO Jay Kirby told Hendersonville Lightning that the practice switched affiliations because their contract with Park Ridge Health was coming to an end and they were looking for alternate partners.

Park Ridge Communications Director Victoria Dunkle also told Hendersonville Lightning that while the partnership had been valuable, Park Ridge is also looking to partner with other orthopedic providers, according to the report.
