Ian Shrier, MD, a Canada-based sports medicine physician, has established a ten-module online course on sports and exercise, according to a report by the McGill Reporter.
The course tackles three major themes — the benefits of physical activity, how to prevent injuries and what to do when injuries occur. It also covers topics to help people understand when certain medical tests are useful or not. The course, called "The Body Matters" launches on Jan. 25. Around 21,000 people from 176 different countries have signed up, thus far.
