Loyola physicians are team physicians of U.S. hockey teams

Haemi Choi, MD, and Douglas Evans, MD, are set to be the official physicians for the women's and men's hockey teams, respectively, as they travel to Granada, Spain, in February for the Winter World University Games.

Both Dr. Choi and Dr. Evans are Loyola University Health System sports medicine physicians, who both happened to served as team physicians during the 2013 University Games in Italy.

 

Dr. Evans served as team physician for both the men's and women's teams during the 2011 University Games in Turkey.

 

Dr. Choi is an assistant professor in the Department of Family Medicine of Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. Dr. Evans is an associate professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation.

 

The Winter World University Games, which runs Feb. 4 until 14, is the largest global winter event for student athletes in the world.
