5 sports medicine physicians on the move

Orthopedic Sports Medicine

These sports medicine physicians have recently moved to other positions:

Daniel Kokmeyer, MD, recently joined a physician team with Reno, Nev.-based Great Basin Orthopaedics to its physician team. Dr. Kokmeyer completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the Grand Rapids Medical Education Partners/Michigan State University program.

 

Stuart Wertheimer, DPM, joined Fond du Lac, Wis.-based Agnesian HealthCare. He focuses on reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle, foot and ankle trauma, arthritis, bunions as well as bone and joint deformities of the foot and ankle.

 

Bruce Thomas, MD, an orthopedic surgeon of Mountain View Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in Ogden, Utah, will serves as a team physician for the Australian ski team. Dr. Thomas will travel to China to provide the ski team with care at the FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup Event. The event will be held in Beijing. Australia will have three athletes competing.

 

Eric Nelson, MD, joined Agnesian HealthCare's Fond du Lac Regional Clinic in Waupun, Wis., Dr. Nelson focuses on pediatric and adult orthopedic conditions and has expertise in the repair, replacement or reconstruction of the hand, knee, shoulder, foot, hip, wrist, ankle and elbow.

 

Teresa Pianta, MD, joined a physician team at Northampton, Mass.-based Cooley Dickinson Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. Dr. Pianta focuses on spine disorders, joint replacement, orthopedic trauma, sports medicine, hand care, arthritis management and pain management.
