Jeffery Lymen, MD, and Thomas Halvorson, MD, recently opened two locations of their new Orthopedic Specialty Institute after joining forces, according to a report by the Coeur d'Alene Press.
Dr. Lyman, a knee specialist, and Dr. Halvorson, a sports medicine specialist, opened their doors at their Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and Spokane, Wash., locations on Jan. 5.
"We are pleased to have a terrific group of physicians and staff who are passionate about what they do," Halvorson said. "And they're extremely good at it, too."
OSI provides advanced treatment for knees, wrists, forearms and other sports-related injuries.
In addition to knee and sports medicine, OSI will also offer hand care through Kate Kuhlman-Wood, MD.
Dr. Kuhlman-Wood is a fellowship-trained and has published several research papers related to her specialty, officials with OSI said.
