Here are 10 orthopedic surgeons in the news over the past week.

Reliant Medical Group welcomed Brian Burroughs, MD, to the medical staff at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Mass.

 

Michael Terry, MD, performed knee surgery on Chicago Fire Soccer Club midfielder Patrick Nyarko.

 

St. Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson welcomed Jeffrey D. Hart, DO.

 

Lisa A. Daye, MD, a partner at Amherst, N.Y.-based Excelsior Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine is establishing a women's sports medicine program at the practice.

 

Greenwich, Conn.-based Orthopaedic and Neurosurgery Specialists welcomed Sean Peden, MD, to its physician team.

 

Ronald Royce, DO, an orthopedic surgeon with Colorado Springs, Colo.-based Front Range Orthopaedics, is among the first orthopedic surgeons in the nation to offer total knee replacement patients prosthetics created with the help of 3-D printing, according to a report by The Gazette.

 

Butler (Pa.) Memorial Hospital orthopedic surgeon Thomas Muzzonigro, MD, will perform two free operations as part of Operation Walk USA, according to a Pittsburgh Business Times report.

 

David Burgess, MD, a Waynesboro, Va.-based orthopedic surgeon, won the Paul Harris Fellow award for his efforts in Africa from the Waynesboro Rotary Club, according to a report by The News Virginian.

 

Kirk Green, DO, orthopedic surgeon at Clarke County Hospital, is offering total knee and hip replacements — a first for the hospital, according to an Osceola Sentinel-Tribune report. 

 

Illinois Bone & Joint Institute welcomed sports medicine specialist Jay Deimel, MD, to its medical staff.
