James Andrews, MD, in collaboration with Columbus, Ga.-based Hughston Clinic, will establish the Andrews-Hughston Sports Clinic in Auburn, Ala., according to a Ledger-Enquirer report.
Dr. Andrews, noted sports medicine specialist, practiced at Hughston Clinic at the beginning of his career. The clinic has had an Auburn office for more than 25 years, but it has been staffed mostly by physicians based at Hughston's office in Columbus. Now, Jesse L. Pace, MD, an Andrews fellow, will work out of the Auburn office.
Dr. Andrews is the medical director for Auburn University's athletic department and now Dr. Pace will join him to care for Auburn's athletes. The Andrews-Hughston Clinic will also develop outreach programs for the Auburn-Opelika area high school athletes and the intramural athletes at Auburn University, Hughston CEO Mark Baker told the Ledger-Enquirer.
