Here are 10 hospitals expanding orthopedic services over the past few months.

 

Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine partnered with Roanoke, Va.-based Carilion Clinic to establish a standalone orthopedics department with shared resources.

 

Southern Michigan Orthopaedics in Battle Creek joined Kalamazoo-based Bronson Healthcare System.

 

St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood, Ky., is partnering with Commonwealth Orthopaedic Center to launch an orthopedic institute that focuses on sports medicine, orthopedic surgery and total joint replacement.

 

The CORE Institute signed a co-management partnership agreement with Providence Hospitals in Novi, Mich., to provide a standard of care based on clinical metrics, standardized protocols, research and expertise.

 

The Orthopaedic Hospital of Wisconsin in Glendale is planning to construct a $6 million medical office building.

 

St. Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson, N.Y., entered into a collaborative partnership with Commack, N.Y.-based Orthopedic Associates of Long Island.

 

Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas is planning to open a multimillion-dollar ambulatory care center in Frisco, Texas, focused on pediatric orthopedic procedures.

 

Hospital for Special Surgery opened a new office in Connecticut to offer urgent care and weekend hours for orthopedics-focused services.

 

Greensburg, Pa.-based Excela Health received a $3 million grant to plan and build an orthopedic treatment center in Hempfield, Pa.

 

Cincinnati-based TriHealth acquired TriState Orthopaedic Treatment Center.
