6 Hospitals or Health Systems Expanding Orthopedic Programs

Orthopedic Sports Medicine

Oakland Regional Hospital in Southfield, Mich., has recently opened the Oakland Regional Orthopaedic & Hand Center. The center includes six exam rooms.

 

Robert Ranelle, MD, board-certified orthopedic surgeon, has joined the medical staff of Cape Regional Medical Center in Cape May Court House, N.J. Dr. Ranelle has a clinical interest in joint replacement, sports medicine, reconstructive surgery and emergency orthopedic procedures.

 

Christopher Dupuis, MD, board-certified orthopedic surgeon, has joined the medical staff of Keokuk (Iowa) Area Hospital. Dr. Dupuis focuses on fracture care, sports medicine, joint replacement and hand surgery.

 

Mesa View Regional Hospital in Mesquite, Nev., has added Joseph Yu, MD, and Roddy McGee, DO, as independent members of its medical staff. Dr. Yu and Dr. McGee, orthopedic and sports medicine physicians, remain affiliated with Las Vegas-based Total Sports Medicine.

 

Mercy Health System, based in Chesterfield, Mo., has recently announced that its 69,000-square-foot Mercy Orthopedic Hospital in Fort Smith is expected to open in October 2014. The new hospital will include 18 patient rooms, an outpatient rehabilitation clinic and a preoperative screening area.

 

Sanford Health, Fargo, N.D.-based nonprofit rural healthcare system, has recently finished the expansion of its new $9 million Sanford Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Center in Bemidji, Minn. The 46,385-square-foot expansion includes 17 examination rooms, a cardiac gym and two x-ray rooms.
