National Academy of Sports Medicine Names Andrew Wyant New Leader

The National Academy of Sports Medicine has announced the hiring of Andrew Wyant to lead the organization. In his new role, Mr. Wyant will be responsible for continuing the implementation of the organization's solutions for the health and fitness industry and building relationships with trainers, athletes and schools, among other duties. He previously served as vice president of LifeLock, an identify theft protection company.

According to a Phoenix Business Journal report, NASM recently began a new $600,000 advertising campaign to market efforts in the Phoenix area and double its size over the next two years. There are currently 50,000 personal trainer positions available across the country, according to the report.
