MLB Team Physicians Society Names Dr. Charles Bush-Joseph 2012 President

Orthopedic Sports Medicine

Charles Bush-Joseph, MD, an orthopedic surgeon with Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush in Chicago, was recently elected president of the Major League Baseball Team Physicians Association, according to an AAOS Now news report. Dr. Bush-Joseph is the head team physician for the Chicago White Sox and associate team physician for the Chicago Bulls. He has served on the Major League Baseball Medical Advisory Board, which is a group of team physicians that advises the MLB Commissioner on medical policy.

Dr. Bush-Joseph earned his medical degree at the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. His additional training includes a fellowship at Cincinnati Sports Medicine.
