A new Kansas law requires athletes exhibiting signs of head injury to be removed from play and not return until they are cleared by a medical professional, according to a report from The Wichita Eagle. The law was drafted and passed last year, and manager of sports medicine for Via Christi Health Travis Francis oversees the program that provides athletic trainers to sporting events.
