Resurgens Orthopaedics' Dr. Steven Wertheim Receives Atlanta Healthcare Leader Recognition

Steven B. Wertheim, MD, co-president of Resurgens Orthopaedics in Atlanta, has been named an Atlanta Healthcare Leader for 2011 by Business Leader magazine, according to a Resurgens Orthopaedics news release. Dr. Wertheim was one of 12 healthcare leaders recognized for his contributions to the field. He has a professional interest in sports medicine and arthroscopic reconstructive surgery of the shoulder and knee. During his career, he has served as team physician for the Philadelphia Flyers and the Olympic Village during the 1996 Olympic Games.

Dr. Wertheim earned his medical degree at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland and completed his residency at University Hospitals of Cleveland. His additional training includes a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
