The American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine presented an award for excellence in research in orthopedic sports medicine to Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush physicians, according to a practice news release.
Shane Nho, MD, Charles Bush-Joseph, MD, and Walter Virkus, MD, received the 2011 Aircast Award for Basic Science for their paper titled "Effect of Acetabulum Rim Recession on Anterior Rim Angle: A Cadaveric Study." The study was also co authored with physicians at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Boston Medical College and Raleigh (N.C.) Orthopaedic Clinic.
