William Sterett, MD, an orthopedic sports medicine surgeon formerly of The Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colo., will begin seeing patients again this month at Vail-Summit Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine in Vail and Edwards, Colo., according to a report from Vail Daily.
Dr. Sterett spent 18 years practicing at The Steadman Clinic and planned on continuing his practice there through August, but the clinic relieved him on June 30. He remains head team physician for the U.S. Women's alpine Ski Team and medical director for Vail Valley Surgery Center.
"I felt that I was in a point in my career where I was very established, had made a good name for myself and had a solid patient base," Dr. Sterett said in the report. "I was exploring my options outside of The Steadman Clinic, both inside and outside the Vail Valley."
