Brian McKeon, MD, team physician for the Boston Celtics, and other medical professionals have released Marquis Daniels from the hospital after he sustained a bruised spinal cord injury in a game last Sunday, according to a Comcast Sports Net news report.

Mr. Daniels was released from New England Baptist Hospital on Monday, but he will undergo extensive testing to determine the extent of his injury and the best course for rehabilitation. Mr. Daniels previously sustained spinal injuries last season during the Eastern Conference finals.

While Mr. Daniels may be out of action for up to two months, Dr. McKeon said he has returned to near full function, according to the report.
