Here are 11 orthopedic surgeons who were in the news this past week.

 

Orthopedic surgeon W. Lin Jones, MD, was in the Fort Bend Star discussing the Joint Center at Memorial Hermann Southwest, which turned 10 this year.

 

Ramon Perez, DO, joined Banner Health Clinic in Sterling, Colo., with a special interest in arthroscopic surgery for sports injuries, fracture management, osteoarthritis, cartilage restoration and pediatric orthopedics.

 

Shriners Hospital for Children-Honolulu welcomed Graham Fedorak, MD, to the physician team.

 

Lafayette (La.) General medical center welcomed Michael Schutte, MD; Blaine Walton, MD; and Jeffrey Witty, MD.

 

Kelly Agnew, MD, president and managing partner of Tri Rivers Surgical Associates was in the Pittsburgh Business Times discussing the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and Butler (Pa.) Health System formed a joint venture to acquire Butler-based Tri Rivers Surgical Associates.

 

Denver-based Colorado Limb Consultants Ron Hugate, MD, was featured by the National Football League and NBC News in the film series "Together We Make Football."

 

Timothy Beck, MD, of Azalea Orthopedics in Tyler, Texas, was selected to lead the Walk With a Doc event this past week.

 

Mayo Clinic Health System, based in Rochester, Minn., welcomed orthopedic surgeons Julie Adams, MD, and Emily Nguyen, MD.
