Houston Methodist Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, located on the Houston Methodist Willowbrook Campus, partnered with Klein Independent School District Athletics to provide coverage for athletes and coaches.
Here are five things to know about this partnership:
1. Houston Methodist Orthopedics & Sports Medicine physicians will become team physicians for Klein ISD Athletics.
2. The team includes orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine specialists and primary care sports medicine physicians.
3. The physicians and specialists will also provide educational and specialized sports health services to the Klein ISD Athletics program.
4. The agreement also provides staff development training focused on concussions, weather-related illness and injury treatment.
5. A medical staff member will serve on the concussion medical board and provide medical consultation for the Klein ISD Athletics Department.
Houston Methodist Orthopedics & Sports Medicine provides care for athletes of all ages and includes less invasive, advanced treatment options.
