Anthony Romeo, MD, with assistance from Nikhil Verma, MD, and Dr. Charles Bush-Joseph, MD, performed shoulder surgery on Chicago White Sox outfielder Avisail Garcia.
All three surgeons practice with Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush in Chicago. The surgery was performed at Rush Oak Park (Ill.) Hospital. Dr. Romeo is the director of the section of shoulder and elbow at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. He repaired a torn labrum and avulsion fracture in Mr. Garcia's left shoulder.
