Lewis Yocum, MD, of Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles, will perform ulnar collateral ligament repair on Seattle Mariners pitcher George Sherrill, according to an MLB report. Mr. Sherrill has been on the disabled list with a sprained flexor bundle since mid-April, but he began experiencing soreness in his elbow during the spring. The procedure will take at least 12 months of recovery before Mr. Sherrill will be able to return to the mound.
