Former NFL player turned physician ready for Harvard neurosurgery residency— 3 highlights

A former NFL player left the game in 2013 to pursue a medical degree at Tallahassee-based Florida State University College of Medicine, according to Tuko.

Here are three highlights:

 

1. Myron Rolle, MD, just graduated and is ready for his neurosurgery residency at Boston-based Harvard School of Medicine.

 

2. The 30-year-old found inspiration to study neurosurgery after witnessing repetitive concussions firsthand while playing professional football.

 

3. In 2008, Dr. Rolle earned a Rhodes scholarship for a master's degree in medical anthropology at Oxford University in the United Kingdom.
