Here are four spine surgeons who were in the news this week:

John R. Barker, MD, of Rocky Mountain Spine Clinic in Lone Tree, Colo., will be included in the upcoming publication of The Leading Physicians of the World.

 

Donald Hales, MD, retired as the longest practicing surgeon at Flagstaff, Ariz.-based Northern Arizona Orthopaedics.

 

Thomas Scully, MD, of Tucson, Ariz.-based Northwest NeuroSpecialists, was the 1st surgeon to perform lumbar spine surgery with the CALYPSO Midline Retractor System.

 

Jerome Kolavo, MD, began seeing patients at Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb, Ill.
