Park Rapids, Minn.-based CHI St. Joseph's Health welcomed Brennan Smith, DO, to its team, according to The Pilot-Independent.
Here are five points:
1. Dr. Smith is heading the hospital's orthopedic and spine surgery services.
2. With his appointment, patients may now receive inpatient, outpatient and trauma-focused orthopedic and spine surgery services at the hospital full time.
3. He specializes in cervical disc replacement, cervical and lumbar fusions and lumbar discectomy.
4. Dr. Smith also performs carpal tunnel and trigger finger synovectomy, knee arthroscopy, shoulder arthroscopy, total hip, knee and shoulder joint replacements as well as adult fracture surgery of the upper and lower extremities.
5. Dr. Smith completed his spine surgery fellowship at New Albany (Ohio) Surgery Center.
