Best opportunities for maximizing an independent spine practice: Q&A with Dr. Gregory Corradino

Spine

Gregory Corradino, MD, MBA, of East Tennessee Brain & Spine, discusses independent physician practice and how to succeed in spine today.

Q: What are the best opportunities for independent neurological surgeons today?

Dr. Gregory Corradino: I believe the best opportunities exist for surgeons who strive to constant improve the quality of care they deliver, who understand the need for their participation in building their practice, and who look for strategic partners with whom they can form alliances with to improve the delivery of healthcare.

Q: How is your strategic plan for your practice evolving as healthcare changes?

GC: In our practice we have been working to improve efficiencies, to broaden the range of services we offer (including cranial and spinal MIS), and aligning with our local hospital system.

Q: What are you excited about in spine over the next five years?

GC: The continued evolution of minimally invasive techniques to reduce complications, speed up recovery, and return patients to full function sooner.
