Here are five spine surgeons and neurosurgeons in the news this past week.

Rush University Medical Center named Frank Phillips, MD, director of the spine surgery division for orthopedic surgery department. Dr. Phillips is a physician with Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush.

 

Board-certified orthopedic spine surgeon Marc I. Malberg, MD, is joining the International Association of HealthCare Professionals.

 

Niagara Falls, N.Y.-based Spine Surgery of Buffalo Niagara is expanding its practice into a former Denny's restaurant. Franco Vigna, MD, owns the practice, which offers surgical treatment, injection therapy, chiropractic care and physical therapy.

 

Kai-Uwe Lewandrowski, MD, of Tucson, Ariz.-based Center For Advanced Spinal Surgery, traveled to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to create an endoscopic spine surgery education video.

 

Neurosurgeon Andrew H. Marky, MD, will see patients at Houston Methodist Neurological Institute and Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital.
