The Leading Physicians of the World welcomed neurosurgeon Saeed Bajwa, MD, of Southern New York NeuroSurgical Group in Johnston City, N.Y.
Here are six highlights:
1. The Leading Physicians of the World honors physicians across all medical specialties who demonstrate excellence.
2. Dr. Bajwa is a fellow of American College of Surgeons, International College of Surgeons and American Association of Neurological Surgeons.
3. He assisted with the development of DePuy Spine's artificial disc for subduing low back pain, and is certified to use Mazor Robotics' systems.
4. Dr. Bajwa aided in the development of the first CyberKnife Radiosurgery Center in Pakistan.
5. Dr. Bajwa obtained his medical degree from Nishtar Medical College of the University of Punjab in Lahore, Pakistan. He then completed his general surgery and neurosurgery residency at the Combined Military Hospital in Lahore.
6. He completed a general surgery residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City and a neurosurgical residency at Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He completed another neurosurgical residency at State University of New York Upstate Medical University in Syracuse.
