Joseph Martinez, MD, joined Houston-based Texas Medical Center and McGovern Medical School at UTHealth, according to The Tribune.
Here are five notes:
1. The neurosurgeon will join the Memorial Hermann Mischer Neuroscience Institute, as a part of Mischer Neuroscience Associates.
2. He will also be a neurosurgery assistant professor.
3. Dr. Martinez specializes in degenerative disc disease, disc herniation, sciatica, radiculopathy, spinal stenosis, spinal cord compression and myelopathy and metastatic spine tumors.
4. Journal of Neurosurgery: Spine has published his work.
5. Dr. Martinez completed his complex spine surgery fellowship at University of Miami and his vascular surgery fellowship at Boston-based Harvard Medical School.
