MidHudson Regional Hospital expands its neurosurgery department — 3 observations

MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., has a continually expanding neurosurgery team.

Here are three observations:

 

1. The newly expanded department hosts a team of specialists with expertise in areas ranging from stroke and vascular intervention to neurosurgery and movement disorders.

 

2. The neurological program is designed to address the full spectrum of medical and surgical treatments for common diseases and conditions such as chronic pain, cerebrovascular disease, epilepsy, gait and balance disorders, multiple sclerosis, neurogeriatric memory disorder, neurotrauma, Parkinson's disease, peripheral nerve injury, sleep disorders and stroke.

 

3. The team is made up of:

 

  • Michael Cho, MD, associate director of neurosurgery;
  • Fabio O. Danisi, MD, associate director of neurology;
  • Q. Tony Wang, MD, stroke/vascular and interventional neurologist;
  • Michael F. Stiefel, MD, chief of neurovascular surgery and director of the Neurovascular Institute
