Spine

Here two spine surgeons discuss books that have helped their careers in the industry.

Ask Spine Surgeons is a weekly series of questions posed to spine surgeons around the country about clinical, business and policy issues affecting spine care. We invite all spine surgeon and specialist responses.

Next week's question: What is the best decision you made this year?

Please send responses to Anuja Vaidya at avaidya@beckershealthcare.com by Wednesday, Dec. 2, at 5 p.m. CST.

Question: What book have you read this year that has helped you professionally?

Richard Kube, MD, Founder, CEO, Prairie Spine & Pain Institute, Peoria, Ill.: How to Drive Your Competition Crazy by Guy Kawasaki. Great book for anyone building a business, especially if you want that business to grow rapidly and be disruptive in the marketplace. Great foundational principles for sales and management teams in that book.

Rey Bosita, MD, MBA, Spine Surgeon, Texas Back Institute (Plano): The Bible.
