Inova Medical Group adds neurosurgeons Dr. Brian McHugh & Dr. Gail Rosseau

Neurosurgeons Brian McHugh, MD, and Gail Rosseau, MD, joined Woodbridge, Va.-based Inova Medical Group. The Inova Neuroscience and Spine Institute welcomes the two neurosurgeons to its team.

Dr. McHugh served as a neurosurgeon at Special Surgery/Cornell University Department of Orthopedic Spine in New York. He specializes in minimally invasive spine surgery and spinal deformity surgery.

 

After earning his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington D.C., Dr. McHugh completed neurosurgery training at Yale University in New Haven, Conn. He finished his education with an adult and pediatric scoliosis and spinal deformity surgery fellowship at Special Surgery/Cornell University Department of Orthopedic Spine.

 

Dr. Rosseau will serve as Inova Neuroscience and Spine Institute's associate chair of the neurosurgery-based programs and director of the residency program and stereotactic radiosurgery.

 

Before this appointment, she was the director of skull base surgery at North Shore University Health System in Chicago. Dr. Rosseau has experience in cranial base disorders, pituitary tumors, meningiomas, acoustic neuromas and head and neck malignancies.

 

Dr. Rosseau completed a neurosurgical residency at George Washington University in Washington D.C., and a pituitary and skull base fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh.
