Sanford Brain & Spine Center in Fargo, N.D., welcomed cerebrovascular neurosurgeon, Alexander Drofa, MD, according to Prairie Business.
Here are five notes:
1. Dr. Drofa will fill the roll as North Dakota's only cerebrovascular neurosurgeon.
2. Still offering normal neurosurgery procedures, Dr. Drofa will also perform complex skull-base surgery and interventional care for stroke and aneurysm.
3. After receiving his medical degree from St. Petersburg State Pediatric Medical Academy in Russia, Dr. Drofa did a residency in neurosurgery at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
4. Dr. Drofa also completed an endovascular neurosurgery fellowship at Cleveland Clinical Cerebrovascular Center.
5. The Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada has certified him.
